This is a badass Zombie book. Braun and his crew have a very important classified job to do as its classified im unable to tell you about it.......so Braun and his crew get some awesome suits and mega fire power all for the one and only person who started the zombie outbreak they need to come back with his head so the doctor can find a cure so if they fail to bring the head home they probably wouldn't be welcomed back This book is awesome!Very suspenseful so the crew got their orders and went to where it all began downtown LA when they get to LA they see that other army personal have been brought it but didn't look like they left. The threat of the zombies have you wondering when they are going to jump out and bite someone. The whole crew is likable you don't want anyone getting hurt just when you think a zombie is going to strike they get shot at now with all that noise attracting the zombies and getting shot at it was looking to turn out bad. Well Braun got around the secured the building and found who was shooting. They were the guys who didn't make it back and they were basket cases. This author really knows what hes talking about with all the military terms and the battles, wait for the battles you feel as if your there and the zombies in this book dont just shuffle, moan ,and bite they run and fight back Braun even found they have emotion. I said it once ill say it again AWESOME! I hear there's a sequel I will be on it!

Inshallah By Sybil Powell

Read in January, 2014

Inshallah
Inshallah is an astonishing love story about an Englishman and a Saudi. Mark owned a company in Saudi Arabia and occasionally worked with a Saudi named Ali, and one day Ali’s sister Jinniya came to Ali’s small country Khamis Mushayt by plane from Jidda and Mark noticed her right off but didn’t know Ali and Jinniya were related. Jinniya noticed Mark also for his light hair but the Englishman had a woman hanging all over him at the airport which was unheard of for the Saudi woman so Jinniya decided they must be a couple, but that wasn’t the end of her thinking of him.
One fateful day Jinniya came into the office with Ali and Mark was there so Jinniya acted like she wanted to know him and Mark did the same. Jinniya actually sprained her ankle in the parking lot and Mark had to help her to the car and they made plans to meet.
They met in a timeworn, empty village near where Jinniya lived which was very dangerous for them but they needed to see each other, it was love at first sight. When everything went well for them they decided to meet again at the same place, Ali had no clue what was going on behind his back Mark and Jinniya could be stoned or worse for seeing each other, they must have loved each so much to risk certain death. While things heated up with Mark and Jinniya the woman who is known as Carol the one at the airport was sent packing after the first couple of nights Mark and Jinniya met up.
They met each other quite a few times Then one night Ali came home early and his aunt said he had a problem up on the roof and as Ali observed across the way he someone sneaking into his house and he rushes to find who it is and under a black covering he found Jinniya and under her Saudi clothes were westerner clothes, she tried to lie but he found the truth who she was seeing. He was so irate. And in this time she found she was going to have to get married to another man her father picked for her, so she and Mark decided to escape her family and go to England. Ali promised he wouldn’t tell a soul about them but told Mark if he told a soul about them Ali would kill Jinniya himself and ordered Mark out of the country.
Life went on for the 2 of them but they were miserable Mark was planning his trip home and Janniya planning her marriage. To find out what happened to the two lovers you’ve got to read it to believe it.

This story is enchanting the author Sybil Powell goes deep into a love that should never be she explores the love, happiness, and pain they feel. The book explores a different life as a Saudi woman with her cultures and religion. She doesn’t just write this stuff she knows it. I loved this book I didn’t want it to end I quite frankly couldn’t put it down. I don’t remember when I have read such an awesome love story.

Seasons of Darkness By Belinda Buchanan

Season of Darkness is the prequel to After All Is said and done. Everett Harrington has 2 children Renee and Ethan. He is a widower who is trying to raise his children right. He has gone through multiple Nannies due to his drinking. Renee was a very social child who was well beyond her years, and Ethan was more withdrawn especially from his father. Everett’s latest nanny Greta gets along with the children fine and doesn’t say much about the drinking.
Through the story there are flashbacks that Everett and Ethan have about the absent mother/wife the real reason she’s not in the picture. Ethan starts to wonder about things and starts breaking out of his shell. Ethan moves further away from Everett because he is controlling and he beats Ethan when the boy does wrong.
Greta and Everett start to fall in love with each other even though he has a drinking problem and he can’t keep his hands off Ethan, Greta says a lot but doesn’t do a lot about it. The last straw for Ethan was when he wanted to start medical school but his dad wouldn’t let him because he wanted Ethan to run his company. I thought this book was remarkable the way it dug into Ethan’s existence. Read this book to find the mystery of Ethan’s mom. Belinda is such a great author who I’d love to see more from.

Wolfkeeper's Woman By Lisa Day

Cassie and Frank had a family, a lovely home, and a great marriage. One morning Cassie was waiting for Frank and his best friend to come in for breakfast. While she was looking out for them she saw her husband then she saw him go down as well as his friend. She didn’t know what happened until she saw the Indians all around. Cassie was stunned, when she recovered she swiftly got her son in her arms, and there she stood toe to toe with the leader Wolfkeeper. She tried to get away and Wolfkeeper hit her and took her baby away and handed him to another Indian, when he did that she wailed and carried on like an ‘Animalistic’ screeching and that scared the Indians and Wolfkeeper called her ghostwoman. On the way to the Indians camp Wolfkeeper would let her breastfeed her baby with no other contact. Little did she know this was going to be the last time she would be known as the infant’s mother.
When they arrived at camp Cassie was ignored and her son was brought to Wolfkeepers family to be raised. They would bring the baby to Cassie when he needed to be fed, at one point they told her she couldn’t look at him, touch him even think about him, her son was dead to her. Wolfkeeper taught her the ways of his world in a harsh manner if she didn’t do what she was told she would know it. He never forced himself on her but touched her in her most private areas. He may have been harsh with her but he was also her protector. And after living with Wolfkeeper Cassie’s guard was coming down, when he touched her, she would lust for him, he told her there would be a day they would be joined. Would Cassie fall in love with the man who stole her child? Would she forgive him? Would she find her child? All those will be answered in this book, this was an exceptional Historical fiction. It was Sad, happy, and frightening. I loved it!
